This is my 3rd Black/copper finish razor that I have now. Other two are Fat Handle Tech and a Feather AS-D2
I had two orders show up today. The scents on all of them are fantastic. I think the Armada Blossom goes good with my MDC Agrumes. The SV is one of my favorite brands and I needed this scent. This is my first try of The Holy Black, it's Gunpowder Spice scent, but I love it. I hope it's performance matches the scent.
So, I went on some errands today. My focus was to get a few grocery items, and some dog food. During my travels I saw a 2nd hand store I had never knew existed, so I stopped in to take a look. I was nearly finished looking around when I saw a lone razor (open comb, nickel plated one in the center). I didn't see any others because of all of the stuff on the counter top, but the clerk pulled them out when I asked to look at the open comb. I couldn't resist. I had to take them home. I could use some help with the Schick Injector.... is it a Type I1? I know the Gem Micromatic is a bullet tip but I'm not sure when they started making those. The center razor is a Probak, 3 piece. I had never heard of the company (at least I don't remember reading about it) until today. I found some previous threads on TSD about Probak so I know more about it now. When I examined the razor at the store it was in great condition, nearly looked as if it had never been used so I was thinking it couldn't be very old. But those patent numbers go back to the 1920s. By the way, I remembered the groceries but forgot about the dog food. When I confessed my sins to the wife she rolled her eyes (and thankfully smiled), and said the dog food can wait until tomorrow.
That is a Schick I, which also happens to have the same markings as my early type I, model 55. My two Schick I1's only have "Schick" on them , but my Schick I (55) has "Schick Safety Razor" on the head and the same markings on the bottom. That's my guess....
A few knots that I won on bidding for .05 cents, plus $3.99 shipping, not too bad of a deal. Two 17mm synthetics, one 20mm synthetic, one 17mm badger and going by ferrule size, one 29mm (24-25 ?) badger........
Fuzzy PIF'd me a puck of VDH shave soap and brush over on TOST so that I could introduce/convert more of my co-works to wet shaving. He also loaned me, so that I could try it out, a Flying Wing aka Bullet Tip MicroMatic.
So I bought this at the flea market, old butterfly razor madd by Gillette has red bottom, under say REOO3 or something like that. Any ideas what this is.
