Pre-shave: Hot Shower then Shave Secret (not pictured)
    Brush: Omega Hi-Brush
    Cream: CO Bigelow
    Razor: Gem Micromatic bullet-tip
    Blade: Gem Stainless (2)
Post Shave: Dickenson's Witch Hazel, Nivea Sensitive Shave Balm, Brut AS

This was my first shave since last Friday so it gave me a good opportunity to try out the vintage bullet-tip Micromatic which I picked up last month. After my first pass I had so much stubble remaining on the neck I thought there was a problem with the razor or the blade or my technique. That first pass was very comfortable but maybe I had too much slick going on between the lather and the Shave Secret. I re-lathered and my second pass was equally comfortable but this time I could hear the blade as it cut through the remaining stubble. I had to do a third, clean-up pass on my throat which is normal and I achieved a CCS. I then moved on to a head shave and it was outstanding! Gotta love these SE Gems!

Have a great week of shaves, my friends!

Tonight's SEptember feast featured the successor to the type D, the E1. It carrys over the flat spring and opening head of the D but is more aggressive than the D and is incredibly smooth. Think of it as a very smooth E2 that shaves at least as close. Fantastic shave again. :happy036:

Well guys, I haven't posted here since last October. This is the first shave with a safety razor of any kind since I went str8 ;)
I just received the MMOC from fellow forum buddy @Kokak . I've never used an oc of any kind. Much more efficient than my old Gem pb. This one ranks right up there with my Schick type E. Great three pass, fast shave. BBS close, and did I mention fast?

    @Linuxguile aka Andrew

    Pre-Shave: Hot Shower
    Brush: 22mm JR #180
    Soap: The Lounge, Stirling Soap
    Razor: Superior 1900 Lather Catcher
    Blade: Treet (13)
Post-Shave: Cold Water rinse and Stetson AS

This morning was the first time using "The Lounge" soap. I got it as a PIF from @Linuxguile thanks Andrew. I found on YouTube were someone described the scent as that of Irish Spring Soap. Now I am not one to ask about what a soap smells like especially those soaps that have multiple levels of scent. I can tell though that this soap does NOT smell like Irish Spring. It lathered very nicely. It gave a nice cushion and slickness. For the third pass I had to dip back into the soap just a little bit.

Three pass shave today. The blade is starting to show signs of giving up the goat/wearing out. The first pass the blade was very tuggie. The second was smoother but not real real close. The third and last pass was the best of the three which if you think about it, it isn't saying a lot as by the third pass there is less whiskers there to cut. I will put this blade back in my early Brooklyn 1912 before I toss it out. The Brooklyn gave me the best shaves yet this month and I what to try it there again before calling it quits on this blade. Tomorrow I will put a fresh blade in the 1900 LC and try it again. Finished with a little Stetson AS.

In conclusion today's shave good, not great but good. It would pass muster. There is always tomorrow.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Arko Extra Performance Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #216 synthetic brush. I did two passes with my Dad's Schick E3 razor and a Personna Stainless blade. I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Clubman Vegetal AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Nice and smooth shave with the Black Hawk. I really enjoy this razor as it shaves with little effort. Light pressure is the key.

    Have a great day!

I really enjoy seeing all the wide variety of injectors and SEs on here! I'm getting the bug to try and complete the alphabet for the Schicks, but slowly and at low prices. I have an E2, G1, G8, I1, J1, L1, and M adjustable.

The early letters are more rare and tough to find, correct?

They are, with the A,D, and F fetching some pretty high prices. The B & C can sometimes be found pretty reasonably.

Well, I may have to punt! Razor AD isn't high on my list. I have great razors at the moment and don't need more. When I do buy one I want to pay very little for it. Call me cheap!

    Razor: Schick '500' Injector
    Blade: Chick
    Brush: Beauty Accents Kabuki
    Cream: KMF fragrance-free
    Post: Alum, Listerine, WH

Basically, a repeat of yesterday's shave right down to the Kabuki brush. No issues with the lather or the razor. Two passes to a comfortable near-BBS with one weeper (reopened the one from yesterday). I seem to be having a bit of a breakout along the line of my CPAP mask and keep taking the top off of one. :-(
