Yes, indeed the bacon cheese is often a travelling favourite. When I was in the army we where given a big sack of those as field rations. Not bad, really. There are also ham and shrimp versions, but they all taste the same :)

Nice razors, they cleaned up nicely. Wasn't this thread about found razors or was it peanut butter? I lost track.

    I do not recall.

But I can say that I also soaked the razors in white vinegar, and I believe that improved them even more. It managed to reduce the spots that was left after the cleansing gel.

    Good morning.

I hope you forgive to for bumping another one of my old threads. I just found two vintage razors available for sale that I would like help with identifying.
I didn't see the point in creating a new thread :)

Price of these are probably around 40-60 USD.

The first is a flare tip rocket, iirc, and that is not the correct case. The second one ? I have no clue. Razor Emporium might be worth looking into. Unless of course someone else answers first.

When in doubt, consult Mr. Razor's site...

I agree that the first is a mismatch. The razor is a flare-tip Rocket, but the case looks like it's from this set:

I think the second one is possibly this one:

I think the second one is a British aristocrat also. That's a great razor.

Thank you Gentlemen. Are they worth the asking price of around USD 50?

Absolutely! The Aristocrat alone is worth at least twice that!

If we look at it from a shaving perspective and not neccesarrily as a collectors item, are they still worth it?
It's 70 USD a pop, not 50 for both. I miscalculated the exchange rate.

I only have two vintage Gillettes, and they are both fantastic shavers. My Merkurs, DE89' Futurs and Progress hasn't been touched since I got these oldies.

I've seen cased Aristocrat sets selling for more. I'd buy them......

I think I will have to sleep on it. With shipping and whatnot I suspect the price will be closer to 80-85 USD for the Aristocrat. The other one is slighly cheaper

The English Aristocrats feel and function differently than their US cousins. I have a President which is the Rhodium plated version of the US Aristocrat and also a #66 which is an English Aristocrat. They are very similar in size weight and overall efficiency BUT the English mechanism feels far smoother, far more controlled and far more precise when opening and closing than the US version. The US version feels positively loosey goosey when you compare them.
