I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Soap Commander Renewal face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #222 synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Gillette Aristocrat Birth Year Razor (47) and Gillette Silver Blue blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Peach WH and then Pinaud Vanilla AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Terrific shave with JR #60 this morning.

 

I'm a happy JROC member!

Great choices to Neal & Andrew! I was considering the one Andrew selected, then JR#216 won out. There are no wrong choices with Jayaruh brushes!

 

I totally agree. Any and all are winners. I have to say the grain pattern in your newest baby is stunning. And Andrew picked a great one to join the club with!

 

Thanks! The grain pattern is why it won out, but only by a hair. I like the grain in Andrew’s pick as well. I dig the Rubberset styling of the one you adopted. If you’re anything like me, it takes awhile to decide on which one to adopt. Jim is a true craftsman, and a big asset to the TSD community.

 

I agree wholeheartedly. I had my eyes set on #195 in the last raffle but got picked a bit late to get it. I have been interested in getting the Rubberset style in a JR brush and when I saw that one still there today I jumped. I feel like I lucked into it just a bit. Right time, right place sort of thing.

 

In addition to looking totally cool in your den, you just know it’s gonna make nice fluffy piles of lather! I’m glad you were able to get the Rubberset style that you were after.

For me, it was #157. I’ve been lusting after that one for awhile, and for the longest time, it wasn’t for adoption. So why didn’t I get that one? I don’t know. That’s what happens when you keep looking I suppose.

 

Yeah I made the mistake and looked at that one. Hide my wallet and my Paypal password until the fever passes.
