And to think I passed one of these up for $15 at an antique shop this past summer. Definitely a brain fart to the extreme :shocked029:

Tonight's shave was with a newly acquired, restored, and honed Sheffield made razor. http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/wade-butcher-aka-snaggle-tooth.57763/ I had a super smooth 2 pass shave, that left me with BBS results. 1 pas would have been good for a DFS. Very nice, well built razor.

Razor- Wade & Butcher. 13/16th Sheffield Made. Horn Scales.
    Brush- B400 By Tom
    Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy

Challenge Cutlery 6/8. Appropriately named, as this was my second razor that I attempted to hone. It was definitely a challenge, but I finally got it the third round on the hones. It finally took a wonderful edge and has maintained that keen edge for months. Not a fancy razor by any means, but a wonderful shaver and one of my favorites. It sure did humble me on the hones though :D

Your memory is excellent, it is new and the first shave. Despite its huge size, it shaves wonderfully. It came with a very nice edge and I like the weight. For some reason I find it much easier to shave with a big heavy razor, they make it easy to apply very little pressure and are easier to control.

Today I used my recently honed ( TY @DaltonGang ) Joseph Rodgers Cutler to his Majesty
    Jayurah 30DC brush
    Stirling Executive Man Soap
    Stirling Executive Man After Shave

Still getting used to straight razors and really struggle with angles using my left hand but overall an uneventful and comfortable close shave. I did somehow manage to nick myself yet again while not shaving but trying to figure out an angle and the blade slipped.

Sorry but I don't recall the blade size Im thinking it's around a 4/8.[IMG]

You know you’ve taken straight razor shaving to the next level, when you know what razors each other owns :D Gee I can’t remember his name but he’s the one with the 7/8 Korat with the French point..........

Tonight's shave was with a newly acquired, freshly restored and honed Sheffield Wedge. I had a near silent 2 pass shave, that left me with a DFS. Zero issues. I do like these old cast steel wedges.

Razor- Wade & Butcher, Near Wedge. Sheffield England.
