So.....you're just gonna leave us hangin' like that, huh? Well, whatever it is that you have planned for Matthew, I'm sure it's gonna turn out sweet! Congrats again on the new JR#54!! It's a great looking brush!
Three days has been my experience as well. If that holds true, things should turn for the better over the weekend.
SOTD October 20, 2017 Prep: Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap Blade: Schick Razor: Schick L1 injector Brush: Omega 10049 boar Lather: Mitchell's Wool Fat Post: Witch hazel, Fine American Blend aftershave WTG, touch up The Fat Friday combo yielded another nice shave. Today I lathered up the pre-shave soap and rubbed it in with my hands and then lathered the Fat right on top. It was slick! The L1 is quite mild. It may be the mildest razor I own. But it worked well as usual and a nice shave was had. Have a great day!
20 OCtober Pre-Shave: Hot Shower Brush: JR #180, 22mm Badger Soap: Lavender EO, Castle Forbes Shaving Cream Razor: Valet VC2, Autostrop Blade: Feather FAS-10 Carbon Steel(CS), Feather Seikan (7) Strop: Amish made Post-Shave: Cold Water rinse, OSMA Alum block and Lilac Vegetal AS (Veg), Pinaud Photo: Stropped the blade fifteen times before the shave. Today was the 7th shave on the blade. It is still smooth and giving nice close shaves. Continuing with trying to find a soap that goes with the Veg. today I paired it up with CF Lavender. I have posted before about the CF but for the benefit of those of you are new or didn't read it, the lather and slickness is top notch. Well worth the price. The scent for me is.... a little strong. I had a gentleman in the UK say that it was a proper British Lavender. Maybe that's why I find it just a little off putting, I'm not British. I am able to get a DFS easily from two passes and that is all I was trying for in hopes that I might be able to shave again tomorrow. Finished of the shave with a cold water rinse followed by the alum block, that gave just the slightest bit of feed back at the bottom of my neck. Topped it all of with a splash of the Veg. Eureka! I found the soap for Veg. They pair very well together and in MHO smell pretty good together. A case of "The sum of the parts". Stropped the blade another ten times, than put it until tomorrow.
Another very nice shave with this very well made razor. Lisa’s Natural Wet Shave Soap B-400 Brush by Tom Eye-Gore SE Razor by Tom GEM Stainless Blade (4) Lucky Tiger Pinaud Clubman After Shave Happy Friday!
OCtober 20th Gillette NEW LC w Feather (4) Prohibition Style SS TGN Synthetic Thayers Barrister's Reserve Cool AS Back home after 3 days away. Pulled out another recently received via trade software product- the Prohibition Style soap. Very subtle scent. Loaded for about 15 seconds, as this is a fairly hard soap. Used a bowl, as I thought I'd get a good handle on the lather first time out with it. Nope, broke the lather and ended up with a thin, runny mess. Didn't have time to start again so I did use it. The razor moved well enough on it, so it wasn't all a disaster. I'll have to use this again this weekend and make sure I don't take it past the tipping point. I did my usual three passes with trying to keep neck touchups to a minimum and finished with the fantastic Reserve Cool, which is always a highlight. Have a great day all!
Love the B&W photo Perry. Great photo. Thanks for the review CF creams. I see many people with positive comments on their creams.

The B-400 looks great with the boar knot. Which one did you use? I know you are glad to be back home. Great lineup and photo.
Thank you Brian and Andrew. She has been a really good patient and much better than me after my surgeries.
Planned SOTD OCt0ber ?? Gillette New Standard Gillette Super Stainless "The Spoiler" (11) Cella @Jayaruh #134 This is my planned next shave which will occur sometime over the weekend. I set this blade aside for the start of SEptember so I am getting back to it, seeing how many shaves I can get out of it. I will also see if I can get a super goop consistency out of a generous sample of Cella that Bruce @FaceScraper sent me. Have a great weekend my friends! TGIF!
