I enjoyed a relaxed two-pass shave on this beautiful Saturday morning. Mike's Natural Soap is the slickest and most skin friendly soap in my den. After my unscented bar is used up, I have a Hungarian Lavender scented bar ready to go. I finished today with Alt-Innsbruck and Aramis. They pair well, as they both have tobacco scents. You have to go easy, though, as they can both be strong.

I've read from some viewers about how these blades can be hit or miss, but the batch I have seem to be OK. They're not as sharp as today's blades, either SE or DE, but they're capable of giving nice shaves. I did two passes, WTG & XTG with the head slightly off my face, and the third, ATG, with the head laying flat on my face to remove the leftovers and was rewarded with a really nice and smooth BBS shave.

 

Thank you Doug. Tried my new to me Gem OCMM for the first time. The razor looks new and felt fine, but I got a number a weepers this morning. No razor burn and the face is smooth, so life is not too bad. I will need to spend some more time with it. I have been kind of over shaving a bit lately and I think my face was extra sensitive and susceptible to weepers.
