I haven't thought about it like that, but you're right. Owning a Jayaruh brush is like owning an original work of art. There's not another one out there like it and each is a one of a kind. Very cool!
Btw, my JR 221 was employed for my morning shave today. It's a great brush And whipped up a fantastic lather.
October 21 Gillette Super Speed Red Tip (A3) Feather (2) JR #160 Louisville Slugger handle with Omega 10098 boar knot Mike's Natural Soap - unscented Thayers Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, Alt-Innsbruck Aftershave, and Aramis EDT
Thanks to Jim @Jayaruh's generosity on his 70th birthday, I am now the proud owner of two brushes from Jayaruh Shaving. Nos. 161 & 231 are firmly ensconced in my den...
Congrats @jason koonce !! You're going to love that brush! Welcome to the club (and to traditional wet shaving)!
Thank you guys for the warm welcome to the club. And it is a beautiful brush. I can’t wait to get it and try it out.
I love things made of wood. Nowadays many items that used to be made of wood are made out of synthetic material. Sometimes this is a good thing that is needed and makes our life easier, but not in every instance. I’ve always liked brushes with wood handles, especially ones that were individually handmade. It’s nice to know you have a one of a kind brush that reflects the craftsman’s skill and design. I’d like to thank a very generous gentleman for providing me with just such an item; JR 135. Thank you Jim, Alan
That brush has a great knot and a cool handle. From what I remember it has a 40033 Omega knot and I've used an Omega 40033 brush for over two years and it only get better over time. I think it's a 24mm. Congrats @jason koonce on a super brush!
They made it today! I was like a kid in the candy shop when I saw the box on the counter. Great way to end a long hard day. They made for a very pleasant shave, even though I normally use a straight. The brush is so soft and smooth to lather with. Great feel to the handle of the razor.
