Barbasol Soothing Aloe sprayed into a bowl and applied with my brush.

    Nah, that itches.

Hard to beat ARKO creams for me. I like the ARKO Cool cream especially.

Of the three creams I ordered I have tried the Derby and the Ingram shave creams. Both are absolutely wonderful. Thick creamy, slick lather. Cheap as dirt...amazing. Not much on scent from either one, but that's fine with me. Yesterday I received the third installment-- Palmolive Classic. (Don't you just love going to the mailbox!) I am anxious to give it a test run this morning.

Post shave edit: This Palmolive shave cream is a wonderful cream. Slick, great scent, creamy lather with lots of cushion. A keeper for sure!

A couple more questions for you budget shaving cream folks...

Question 1: I see on Amazon there are a few varieties of Old Spice shave creams in a tube (eg. classic, lime, musk). Is there one among them that resembles the Old Spice that my father would have used years ago? I note the reviews posted on Amazon regarding scent are not particularly favourable...

Question 2: There are a few varieties of Godrej shaving cream...is there one among them that stands out as being better than the others? Does the red variety really smell like Arko...as some of the reviews suggest?

Dove Expert Shave. I bought my two 6.7 ounce tubs at Grocery Outlet for $5.98 for both. It makes a great lather with a brush.

I think I've already put my 2cents in here, but I'm gonna change my answer to Kiss My Face! It is just excellent for the cost!!

Omega Eucalyptus Shaving Cream in the tube is good as well when lathered up and applied with a brush.

After all the budget creams I have tried I believe one of the absolute best budget cream is Nivea Original. I just came back from a trip and used Nivea for the entire week and I was just so impressed with the scent, ease of lathering and general slickness...and at a great price. Tops in my books!

I picked up some Speick Shaving Cream and matching ASB. The cream is great and fits a budget price. The ASB is a bit pricey, but a very nice product.
