Started this January 2016. Average about 1 blade per week.

It will take a while to fill this peanut butter jar :shaver

Did you make a slot in the lid, or do you just unscrew it to put in a blade?

Slot in the lid. Much easier that way!

How did you make the slot?

I used a Dremmel and cleaned it up with a box cutter.

A squeezable smuckers jelly container is the best. It has a flip lid AND a slot.

Nice ideas. I'm using a feather blade bank and its not full but getting heavier. I think I figured out how to open it. Initially I thought you fill and toss it. But it was $5 or something so I think when I open it I'll use a peanut butter jar with lid to toss the old blades.

I do enjoy seeing inside so easily, but the squeezable jelly idea IS very easy! Great idea.

Years ago I got a couple blade samplers that came with a few five packs in the plastic dispensers. Once those are empty you can easily fit 20 or 30 used blades in those. Probably more. I finally filled one after a year.

This is what I did for years, as all the blades I could get came in those containers. I still have a couple of them that I'm adding to. I prefer the sharps container, because it's easier.

Lots of things will work, cans, jars, banks. But if small kids have access, extra care must be taken.
