Well, it means that you're getting use out of it. No matter what use people say it's intended for, in the end, it's just a bowl for holding stuff. Every time I see those hammered bowls, I wonder what gardening store they stole them from - growing up, the only thing hammered coated metal bowls were for were flower pots.
Wait, wouldn't it be more appropriate that the face is similarly shaped to the outside of the bowl, as the formation of it is convex on one side, and concave on the other, albeit with irregularities? With the bowl, the concave faces the air, and the convex faces the solid...
Back when I was into bowl lathering, I used a self-watering flower pot as a scuttle for a while. Works great at keeping the lather warm. I got it from Walmart. That was a long time ago.
I melted my soap down into an old AOS cream bowl. It’s not ideal but it’s ok for now. Also I traveled recently and in the place I stayed they had a large round mug. Hay worked beautifully
