Williams Mug lasted me close to 3 months. Got this set from my wife for Christmas- cream and small badger brush. I will use the brush as well, of course. Let's see how long it lasts. See you in a couple of months
I have that same TOOBS Sandalwood. Its good stuff, great smell, great lather. I like it. I wish it was a soap but only because I'm a soapy guy I'm not giving it too long though, it is super soft. Maybe a month and a half of 4 day/week shaving.
I average about 6 days a week. I don't lather as much as others, but I find that a thinner film works just as well for my face. Others who get a lather equal to that of canned foam won't get as long a life out of their.
That’s a great cream! Creams will go much faster than soaps. I have a tub of TOBS sandalwood and I’ve used it for maybe a month of daily shaves and I’m more than halfway through it.
It will be interesting to see how long this lasts for me. I am a miser when it comes to lather - most others will wash away much more than me down the sink. My lathers tend to be much thinner than others - I only whip for about 15-20 seconds. But it works for me.
I have no doubt it will be more expensive, especially if it doesn't last as long as the Williams. Now, cost of comfort per shave is another thing, for sure.
I have the Lemon-lime, and Eton college scent. Both winners in my book, but I do notice when I use my badger it tends to use less than when I use my horse hair. Waiting on the results.
Ditto! There is something about that scent that just does it for me. I won't order any more of the lemon-lime, but the Eton college will always be a keeper.
One week in... This will last a while. It doesn't take much at all to build a lather. And probably about 2:1 water to cream ratio to start - maybe even 3:1. Good stuff.
TOBS has high quality products that give a comfortable experience and a good cost per shave. I highly recommend seeking out the TOBS Jermyn Street line.
A smaller amount of soap will usually produce more lather relative to creams in my experience, but very tiny dabs of cream go an incredibly long distance. I use creams almost exclusively now and I use quite a bit less than the typical almond-sized amount that I've seen mentioned. I still always have lots of leftover lather after two passes with touching up.
I own the Sandalwood and Eton College. Both are very nice soaps. The Sandalwood was my first proper wet shave soap, and it's still going strong. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
