Here is the most recent shave!
This time with a Valet Auto Strop. Boy this thing is a serious shaver, and does a fantastic job!

    Any constructive criticism is welcome!

I agree with the Fuzzster! Both are incredible....The SS are slightly lower maintenance....and the Carbons give incredibly smooth shaves from "Day #1" But you do need to dry them immediately after shaving to prevent instant rust...But thats simple enough...

If I had to pick, I would pick the carbons....PAL Super, Treet Supers, GEM Blue Stars are all absolutly incredible, I love them....But I also love the GEM SS's....But the Carbons win out, by a hair...

9 hours after my shave with my Gem Micromatic Bullet Tip and a Gem/Personna SS Blade my face is still smooth. I'm looking forward to trying the Gem Blue Stars. Looks like my local Bi-Mart is closing out on the Gem SS blades and won't be getting anymore. Walgreens can order them for me. Walmart can order the Blue Stars, but doesn't list the Gem SS blades. My local Rite Aid might be closing out on single edge blades and I couldn't find them on their website. Looks like it's going to be online ordering for all my single edge blades in the future.

Finally have got a half decent Shave from this Razor, lots of polishing up work required, with a blade that
normally does not work for me.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Tabac Shave Soap face-lathered well with the JR #217 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the J.A. Henckels Rapide razor with a J.A. Henckels wedge blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Post: Witch hazel, RazoRock Zi'Peppino aftershave, Stirling Glacial Unscented balm

Continued success with the Schick 66 and Personna blade. Quite nice overall and certainly easy. Have a great day!

    Last Night's Florida Water Shave - 1/22/2018
Used the Schick Type L Lady Razor.

I started with a Schick proline blade on its 3rd shave. Now I have mentioned this before - the Proline B BLades are a LITTLE SHORTER than a traditional injector blade - made for injectors- the PROLINE blade also also a bigger curve around the edges - so this makes the Blades sit LOWER than a traditional injector blade and this also adds aggression which is a good thing for some. Now the TYPE L I think way have a wider space between the blade stops, because when I started my second pass the blade slide off the stop in one side and the razor became DANGEROUS! I noticed it immediately and got one tiny scrape and I changed the blade out to a new CHICK blade and boy this shave is MUCH smoother -not a bad thing, just a more mellow shave.. So I warn the PROLINE users - seems the older injector razors are able to take the shorter Proline blades but I would advise caution with a TYPE L - now this RAZOR was used 4 times - so the razor is mint,,
    peace - jamie

    wchnu Duck Season!

Tuesday morning shave. 1913ish ER with a new ASR blade. Omega soap with the B-400. The aftershave is the RiteAid store brand Brisk. Hard to mess that up. Life is good in the shavehood!

Wish my Rite Aid had the Daylogic Brisk. They did have one 10 pack of the Daylogic Single edge blades. However could not tell if they were carbon, or stainless steel blades. I could read oo9 on the spine. Do you suppose they were carbon ASR's. They were going for $4.99. The store staff wasn't to helpful on Saturday.

They are AccuTec. They own the ASR stuff. Carbon blades. I picked some up the other day. The CVS blades are from the same company. It's good stuff.
