Good advice, and something I never would have thought of on my own. Thanks.

I was looking at Carbon fiber arrows. They are about the same size. Wonder if there is an archery shop near you that might have a few broken ones, maybe a discard you can get cheap.

Arrows come in a few different sizes. If its a legit shop they should actually have some scraps as more serious shooters have them trimmed to length of the draw length of the bow. Should be easy enough to find at a shop though.

Well, the tubes I ordered work - they lie when they say 8mm ID, though. They have to be bored out to be 8mm, then coned to move the hoop stress point(s) away from the ends of the tubes.

How is everything holding up? I still have some tubes around, plus a long section waiting for me to cut it. So if someone wants a 6" OLD handle, I can do that :)

I will take it. I will find a razor to fix.

It is holding up great. I love that razor. I put it in a special Red and Black case. It looks great, too. I will take a picture and post it later.

Want 'traditional' length, or a slightly longer one?

    Traditional. If possible. Many thanks

It's possible. I have three short and two longer, and I could always cut more.

This is my razor using the carbon fiber handle. Clix cap, Gillette New SC base with Gillette ends on the handle.

I would not have thought of using a Clix cap - but then, I don't have one :) How does it change the shave?

The only reason I put it on was because I don't have a top cap for the SC. It extends a bit out on the ends and covers the blade completely, but in my opinion, it still feels like using a complete Gillette head.
