Well, I'm going to go ahead and project Nosey as the survey winner. The lead is too much with just a few days left. Next?

I had intended to shave with my Wilkinson Sword Empire this week loaded with a modified GEM blade , but I could not get the blade to seat properly. So instead I broke out my birth quarter Black Beauty. I typically only break out this razor during my birthday week, which is a shame because its an excellent performer. I bumped the adjustment dial up one click from my typical setting and enjoyed an efficient three pass BBS. I reached for the Baxter duo for a face freezing Menthol Monday. Have a great week my friends!

My shaves have improved since I reduced open DE blade inventory to one. No guessing about how long one's been in service or which razor I used it in last. I think it might even help me to establish a more disciplined Focus. Not that moving a blade around takes time but I'd be more likely to install and keep going in one razor.

Don’t do it. The stuff is barely usable. I left mine in the hotel trash this morning.

I had some of that cream a couple of years ago. Not all that great. The scent was a little minty but also some type of institutional smell to me. It wasn't that great and I think I threw mine away as well.

What would you say is comparable blade feel and efficiency wise ?

After yesterday’s uninspiring shave with a barely adequate shave cream. I decided to just skip shaving today and enjoy a much better shave tomorrow morning at home. I hope everyone has a great Monday.

By "barely usable", you mean it's no good, I take it?

It's better than canned goo, for sure. When I started shaving with creams I thought it was a pretty decent drugstore product. Now that I've had some experience with much better soaps, I'd tend to agree with the majority opinion here. I've still got a tube in the den for travel or whatever, so I don't think it's bad enough for the trash bin, but I wouldn't seek out another tube either.

Monday April 23 - Menthol Monday

Supply Co V.2 SE injector on two - dot plate / Personna ( 9)
JR #276 white ash and boar brush
    Vitos Eucalyptus shaving cream
    Alum and Osage Rub

If my Menthol Monday setup reads suspiciously like my normal daily shave for the last week or so, that's because it is. A slightly heavier hand with the Osage Rub but otherwise business as usual.

And a good shave as usual. I said I would use this setup until one or all of three things happened: my new boar brushes quit smelling, the shave cream ran out, or the razor blade fell apart. So far, the boar brushes still smell slightly but not too bad anymore, the tub of cream has a wide empty spot in the middle but enough around the sides for probably another month, and the injector blade on its 9th outing is nowhere near folding. Looks like I am sticking with this rig to monthend at least...
