That Jeris does look good.....might make a play for it in the future. I forgot it was a 14 oz.er. Y'know, if I had that, Clubman, and the 15 oz. Stephan Bay Rum AS, that'd cover me pretty well for years(course I'd be greedy and get some others(Stoylin, etc).

Haven't used the Wickhams Super Smooth in a while, great lather and smells just like a fresh glass of Cola. The Kamasouri blade has lasted a incredibly long time, and is a smooth blade, but it had to go. Was dragging a bit. Finished off with Onyx EDT.

Absolutely love the scent of Hallows, it is dark and mysterious. Paired well with CC Southern Oud which is another beautiful scent, could still catch whiffs of it throught the day. Very pleased with the results of this shave.

Had some issues with this shave. Could not get a stable lather, had the same experience with Van Yulay soaps, it was the same setup so I believe it may be from using too much pre shave. Anyways, usually he no issues with WTF soaps so will experiment further but highly doubt it is the soaps fault. As a result I used a small chunk of frankensoap and got a thick lather, although the scent was a bit strange.

Very refreshing shave with Renewal, scent is a clean floral, a bit similar to Irish Spring to my nose. Perfect for nice weather. Whipped up a thick lather and managed a BBS shave.

Amazing shave this morning. GD makes one of the best performing soap on the market, regardless of soap base. Scent of Chypre Conifere is a fresh woodsy scent that gets a bit stronger once lathered, perfect scent strength, and it paired well with Ozark Mountain balm. BBS shave with no irritation. Hope everyone is doing well and getting the best shaves possible!

 

What are your thoughts on the Kathmandu scent? It sure sounds interesting

I've been trying to exercise lately to keep my strength good now that I'm in my mid 40's because it's more important now than ever. I'm a bit sore and I have a touch of arthritis in my neck, a bad shoulder with a torn labrum and torn rotator cuff that never got surgery and minor arthritis in the base of my lower spine (that causes sciatica with numbness for weeks if I play any basketball) along with stenosis in the same places of my spine that I have the arthritis. Oh, and my left hip seems to be the newest problem that's come up with pain when I squat down or stand up from a deep sitting postition. Keeping in motion is a must to maintain joint health and strength. Though these 'sound' bad, they are minor in comparison to what some people experience as my MRI showed only "minor" diagnosis (although I definitely ache and hurt when these act up) but the affected joints are still mobile with good range of motion. So, these can be worked around. The arthritis soak in a hot tub does help recovery after the exercise and it has a great smell to it.

Arko Adjustable April!!

Third shave on the Consul this time around and it was another perfect shave. No blood, two passes, just a little bit of touch up and the baby is again in the house. The JR46 is still taking Arko from the mug and turning it into a non-stop lather. Great all the way around. Not even sure what else I can say about it so I'll just leave it at that.

I'll move on tomorrow to something else. Might still be Arko Adjustable, might not. I'm just taking it a day at a time at this point. One week to MAYhem! I don't really have a dangerous shave lined up this year. Probably a touch of wisdom showing up. However, I'm going to mix stuff up with gear, soaps, creams, food and beverages, all kinds of things to try and make it absolutely crazy to keep up with! The blade on a bolt might make a reappearance. You never know!
