Razor: Gillette Guard Single Edge Cartridge (1)
    Pre Shave Oil: DIY
    Lather: Gillette Foamy
    AS: Mennen afta

An easy 2 pass, WTG/ATG with very little touch ups. Smooth easy, clean and close. AS good as it gets. A cold water rinse and a liberal amount of "afta". I`m good to go, Happy Camper! Great shave. God Bless.

    Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap
    '82 Gillette Super Adjustable @ 7
    Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Stainless(3)
Yaqi Ruby Red (24mm finest, Frigate Class)
Stirling Island Man Soap and AS

I know I know, not the best color combination. But I wanted to use both my new Yaqi brush and Stirling soap set. First off let me say, this brush is gorgeous! Its finish has far far exceeded my expectations! Not bad for $25 eh ? The knot is also night and day better (for me) compared to the silver tip. It has nice backbone (though not as much as my 3omm Maseto or my 35mm Doug Korn), a little bit of scrub but still nice soft tips(but not gel tips). I guess two band knots are just my thing. The Stirling Island man is an amazingly wonderful scent. I'm not usually a fan of coconut, but this has enough other things going on that really make it spectacular. Glacial level After shave? Oh Yeah! I guess I'm becoming a bit of a menthol head. Here'ss my take on the scent:

It starts off with a strong coconut and rum note and then somewhere in the background you get a hint of tropical flowers and something a bit citrusy.

Have a great day my friends!

A good shave today but I’m still working on getting this razor in check. The razor seems smoother without a shim and to me this razor is more aggressive than R41.

After determining that the post war Apollo razors (including the Mikron) more closely resemble the Rockwell than any of my other razors, I took my aluminum Apollo for a spin to compare. Milder than my preferred 5 plate Rockwell shave -- the Apollo has like zero cap span -- but yeah a surprisingly good shave from a very unimposing razor. The Yaqi cap will increase exposure, I'll give that a shot tomorrow.[IMG]

I like the colors, but here's an option. The brush sounds amazing...and the price? Crazy.

Thank you, Joseph! I think I prefer the colors to the B&W though, I guess it really wasn't that bad!

Sticking with the travel brush theme, the vintage Boots best badger is a cracking example.
I thought it only right and proper to shave with the 1914 after mentioning it in the previous two sotds and it, with the wonderful WK soap, provided a winning Wednesday whisker wemoval pwocedya.
    Happy Shaving one and all.

First shave with a new to me vintage Gillette. Lost plating makes it a User Grade, but it's straight and the moving parts work correctly.

I have a feeling the Gillette Gel A.S. is a clone of Mennen After, but more cloning is needed....Gillette doesn't put much scent into theirs(but it feels good though).
