A check of the Original(Red)can showed me that they took off the "Est.1919" and replaced it with a MLB All-Star Game logo and contest. The 1919 is still on the others, aswe can see in @ilts post just above mine. And now an update-CVS near me still as Est.1919 on the originals....well, that's good, but it probably won't be that way for long.
Last week I was so busy I actually missed a couple days shaving!!! I almost never do that! Third day I only had about 15 mins to grab a shave and dress...So I grabbed my Menthol Artic Chill Barbasol and My Ever Ready Lather Catcher....Some folks don't like the idea of an over 100 year old razor with Canned foam...But I'm here to tell ya!! The shave was fantastic!! I loved it so much, I used the same combination three more days... It was incredibly fast...and two pass BBSs were sweet!! And skin felt GREAT afterwards every time! No time for a Kit Photo...but heres the razor that I used with the Arctic Chill....Not enough Stars to rate these shaves with....lol!
I continue to be amazed by the difference I've been seeing and feeling with what I call the "new Barbasol". I'm willing to claim that since they moved their operations to Asland, Ohio, the cream has become thicker than before. I could say "Ahhh, mabe it's just ME", but I think the Ashland crew has made some nice changes.
I had as good Barbasol shave too this morning-the Original. I have a serious issue though...when this one runs out and it's time to replace, I hope there will still be one that has the classic "Est. 1919" on it, instead of the Mickey-Mouse "Jurassic Park" or even the "MLB All-Star Game.". "Est. 1919" is best for a vintage fella like me.
Actually, I shouldn't disrespect the MLB All-Star Game logo on some Barbasols....for the 1966 classic, I was there.
I've been using the Soothing Aloe variety of Barbasol for a while now, but I finally got my hands on another can of the Skin Conditioner variety. These two are my favorite varieties of Barbasol, although I've never tried Pacific Rush.
