A refreshing 2 pass shave with the Variant. The Rose Gold version has excellent finish with superb blade alignment and precise fitment. The dial knob is firmer and the numbers are spot on without any play. Parker has been getting better with their Q/C it so seems. The DG/Chatillon collaboration with the Yuzu/Rose/Patchouli soap and splash are just simply magnificent. When you open up the tub and aftershave tops, you just get a tremendous dose of spring floral but the patchouli gives it that slightly earthy, green, slight pine like masculine finish. A great pairing. Have a great day and wonderful shaves Gents... ;)

It is a excellent Old Spice interpretation. The Oud notes really bring it to life.

Single Pass Evening Head Shave: Karve-D/Supermax BDT. Hardly needed a shave but had to take the newly polished Karve for a drive. I did top of the cap, bottom of the pins, handle neck and handle tip bottom. I love the look.[IMG]

    Razor - Fatip Piccolo
    Blade - [IMG] (1)
    Soap - Tabac
    Brush - 30DC LE
    Post - Alum

Time for a bit of a break from bad soap and questionable gear. Although, I'm keeping it aggressive because it is, after all, MAYhem. The Fatip comes out loaded with a Sharp Star and the 30DC brush and Tabac team up for a classically excellent lather.

Two passes, tough ups, very high DFS finish, nearly BBS, and the alum remains mostly quiet. THAT'S what I'm talking about. Great shave and the zen factor was awesome as well.

Two days down on the big sale weekend. Yesterday was big, today not so much, but Sunday and Monday usually pile it on. Hope you're getting some BBQ and picnic time with family and friends. Drink a cold one for me!

    THURSDAY SHAVE
    20180524_100047.jpg

    Prep: pre shave soap mix
    Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
    Blade: Pol-Silver
    Brush: Yaqi 26mm synthetic
    Soap: Wheat State Soaps- Creekside

    Post: B&M Fougere Gothique A/S

Not the closest shave, but no major damage was done. Thick lather from the Wheat State soap, and the scent of Creekside is very nice, the name fits the scent perfectly, woodsy scent that reminds me of Tim's Soap Roots. The scent of Fougere Gothique could still be detected hours later, the mushroom note makes it quite unique IMO.

    Yesterday's shave
    20180525_141902.jpg

Prep: shower with WTF Taboo bath soap
    Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
    Blade: Pol-Silver
    Brush: Razorock BC Plissoft
    Soap: Siliski Soaps- Patchouli Blend
    Post: Stirling Glastonbury balm

Very nice shave yesterday. First time with Siliski Soaps and it went perfectly. Lather held a nice amount of water and had that shiny quality to it, super slick as well. Will do a more through review once I've used it a few more times, but first impressions are positive. Scent of Patchouli Blend paired well with the Glastonbury balm.

    TODAY'S SHAVE
    20180526_104050.jpg

    Prep: Musgo Real Classic
    Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
    Blade: Gillette Black (1st shave)
    Brush: Razorock BC Plissoft
    Soap: Wild West- Rose Dunn
    Post: Clubman Vanilla

BBS shave this morning. Rose Dunn smells great, the rose is not too floral or feminine and blends well with the coconut, amber adds some depth. This scent reminds me a bit of Lisa's Natural Coconut Oud. scent gets stronger once lathered but is not a "in your face" or strong scent but more subdue which is a good thing in this case. Whipped up a creamy lather in the copper bowl with no problems. This is a artisan soap that keeps getting better since I got the water ratio down, and have been impressed with the scents Russ has come up with. Hope everyone is doing well and getting great shaves!
