Very interesting. It must be very interesting to hone. I've heard of Brian Brown and Robert Williams, Max Sprecher and Bob Allman to name a few artisan razor makers in the USA, but not Kenny Powell. Do you have a link?

Every time you post that Boker, I say to myself, "that is one amazing-looking razor".

I put my Case Red Imp 133 back on the Naniwas last night and had a great shave this morning. Now if I could just do something about the shrunken scales.

Yesterday, actually. 19 hours ago. A little roughness is just breaking through but I'm good for the day.

The Henckels Friodur is a magnificent razor if you like stiffness akin to a half-hollow. It is rigid but, when sharp, it is smooth as silk. I can't say there is anything special about sharpening a stainless razor; this is my only ss blade but if presents no great challenges. It's a fine shaver and easy to keep clean. Two passes with the Henckels and a third with a Rolls just off the stone/strop gives me as close to a perfect shave as I can find.

Badger from Crabtree & Evelyn face-lathered with AofS cream is quite nice. Warm then cold water rinse, a clean cotton towel and a splash of homebrew witch hazel/alcohol/aloe finished off.

    Happy Easter, folks.
