Yes, I can mix Arko with Cella and make it nice. I used that combination yesterday morning. I finally got some Arko about a week or so ago. The scent is what gets me. After 3 shaves with just the Arko, I am now only using it mixed. But, Cella takes care of that unique Arko scent.
I believe this based on how many different soaps and creams are out there. Must take years to try them all...
Mitchells Wool Fat. Just ordered two pucks because it's better than anything else I've tried, at least until next time.
For quite some time it has been Tabac, but a few weeks ago I bought a tub of Figaro Shaving Cream, which to me is more of a cross between a soap and a cream, and it has turned out to be a favorite. I only have one problem now; to keep from eating it. The smell is delicious. Reminds me of my favorite cookies from when I was a child.
Karo Classic. It's my default cream, my super lather go to cream, and my first choice when I need to test the performance of a newly honed edge. It never lets me down.
Probably MWF, though I just got some Tabac, and after one use, it is already a strong contender to take over the top spot. I don't really use creams anymore, but I liked the TOBS creams. I could live without them though.
It would be very, very difficult to live with only one. I would very much miss Tabac when using a straight razor. I don't want to think about shaving with a SS without VDH deluxe. My OC's would probably just set unused without the Cella, MWF, and Ogallala Bay Rum & Orange. But if I could have only one, it would have to be the Omega Crema de Barba. It was recommended to me by Jarrod @ Superior Shave when I placed my first DE razor order. I have to admit, he was right. For an all around soap that works very well always, it's hard to beat.
PannaCrema and my newest addition Alvarez Gomez shaving cream. Absolute fantastic products. I love it.
