Yes I do. i also remember a gas station service man coming to the driver's side window, saying, "G'morning! Check under the hood?" —and then he would proceed to check the oil (often presenting to the driver the oil dip stick held carefully with two hands, an oily cloth carefully supporting it, and commenting on the present level); check the radiator, check the air in the tires, and wash all the windows all while the car was being fueled.........A true 'service station'—which was the norm, not an anomaly.

True..however, at many stations today, customers ARE able to purchase gas as well as lotto tickets, slim jims, cigarettes, pork rinds, energy drinks and a pine-scented air freshener for your traveling pleasure.

I'd say that station was circa 1950's. Hard to believe that was 50 - 60 years ago!

    Gillette Goodwill
    TSD Lanolin Sandalwood
    Omega Pro 48
    Crystal Blade
    Alum block
Lucky Tiger AS and Face Tonic

The Gillette Goodwill is my most efficient DE and it did not let me down today. Two passes and no touch up needed for a CCS.

In my earlier post here today I said:
That's no longer true. I think I went to far back on my neck with the straight this morning. In fact, I know I did. The rest is fine, but I just went further than my skin is used to.

And they were called "Service Stations", not "gas stations" because that is what they provided.

Apparently, I have "poor quality oil." It smelled like motor oil. It smells nothing like eucalyptus.

My shaves these past several days have sucked. Lots of days I just dry shaved with a Bic disposable since we're on water restrictions in Fort Hood. It's especially brutal out in the field. No nicks or burn, but my shave is nowhere near BBS.

Last night I was able to sneak some water and shave with my tube of TBS Maca Root cream and a Bic disposable. It was BBS, but not the same.

No shave today. My chin is still healing from the cheese grater I dragged ATG with (Schick Hydro 5 disposable).
