Watched the Wolf of Wall St, American Psycho and X-Men: Days of Future Past over the weekend: three very enjoyable movies as it turns out. Loved the Wolf of Wall St, Leonardo Di Caprio is usually excellent IMO and was again in this. American Psycho I've seen before but wanted my wife to see it and I last saw it years ago. It is excellent if you like something more than a little different from the norm and also has some funny, if slightly disturbing moments. Funnily enough the main character looked familiar... The only previous X-Men movie I've even found remotely enjoyable was X-Men: First Class so was slightly surprised that I actually quite liked the new one. It definitely benefits from the big screen!
I like the Quiet Man. This month on TCM they are playing Maureen O'Hara movies every Tuesday. I recorded the Long Grey Line yesterday. I will watch it later Tyrone Power Mareen O'Hara.
I didn't like it... It is the second Canadian movie I see. The first one is this (Weirdsville 2007): A dark stoner comedy I would highly reccomend.
Saw the play in Vegas. Wasn't as impressed as I had hoped for. Too many songs in falsetto, not enough story. Liked "The Buddy Holly Story" much more.
I have two young daughters so much of my movie viewing revolves around Disney Princesses, Fairies and Sesame Street. My most recent was probably the LEGO movie with them the other night.
Watched this last night. It was not too bad. A rather unusual Sci-Fi with some good twists and turns. I'd give it a 6/10. "On a road trip, Nic and two friends are drawn to an isolated area by a computer genius. When everything suddenly goes dark, Nic regains consciousness - only to find himself in a waking nightmare."
I've never been much of a formula one fan but I have to say I absolutely loved the movie Rush. A solid 8/10 for me.
