My second attempt at the Turned Elk Antler, I actually used a file to get the grooves in there Overall Length = 105mm Knot size = 24mm Loft = 52mm Overstuffed Silvertip Bulb Base is Nickel Silver and Recon Turquoise I really like the look and the feel of these brushes in hand, but they take a bit of care and concentration to work the antler on a lathe, I keep thinking I am going to push it just a tiny bit too much and I am going to see one explode
This one is another beauty! Outstanding work, Glen. Be forewarned, you keep posting images of these gorgeous brushes, you're gonna need to ramp up production!
Very handsome brush. You did a terrific job with it. But I must admit I misinterpreted the thread title. I was imagining someone mutating into an elk antler.
