You folks are going to force me back to scuttle lathering! Been doing the face lathering for the last year or so and come to think of it, its more fun using the scuttle and then I can contribute some lather shots to this thread.
Just when I had acquired enough shaving gear to be happy I saw a couple of scuttles yesterday and decided I need one or two. I just wish I could find a place that had inexpensive scuttles to get my feet wet before I drop $50+ on something I may only use once or twice and dislike.
@FlightMedic ... for inexpensive scuttles, you can check on Esty and find some well made artisan pieces. You can also get georgetown pottery "seconds" for roughly $30. They have minor imperfections but don't affect the performance at all. Good luck with your search.
lets bookend this from this BTW, that was Pre de Provence whipped with a fan shaped Franks Shaving Finest , Persian Jar Jade.
Thank you for the compliment. Its a Lord Randal handle by Vie-Long sold through Bullgoose. It had a horse knot, but I swapped it out for a finest fan badger knot. It's one of my favorites.
Cold River Soap Works - limited edition WINTER. I really like this one, even though I don't think everyone will enjoy this blend.
Check out Georgetown pottery website. Pick out what one you like. Then call and ask about the imperfection sale. You can get any one for a fraction of the price. I got the new g20 for 35.00. Its not advertised on the site so you have to call and place your order over the phone. The one I got to be honest has no flaws I can see.
This thread makes me happy This one is a month old, I'll have to snap a more recent one soon. Hopefully you don't mind me adding to the fun Arko!
Sure is I want to take a more recent picture to add to this thread, but I've finished my Arko. Now I'm using RR Mouget de France, which is pretty good, but I doubt it can look as good in lather shots as Arko.
Me too! I wanna see it naked............................................................. in a sense.
It's a New Forest 2204 High Mountain Badger with faux horn handle. Was generously given to me by a member here along with a slim adjustable... Still so grateful.
