I got my mini haul of Clubman in tonight. Tried out the Bay Rum, I really like it! Its a bit sweeter than the Royall Spyce but just as clovey.

The special reserve smells very musky, I can't wait to try it after my next shave.

This gold edition offers some elements used in 50s and the cap is made by hand in pinewood. When I smelled both the regular pino and gold edition I noticed the difference immeditately.

The availability of injector blades locally is virtually non-existent. I have a Schick magazine that I got while down in SC a couple of years ago, but I cannot find any Schicks locally. They are available online, but they are $6.99 plus shipping. That is over a dollar a blade. I found the Personna Mini Shaper Blades on Amazon. I got 20 for $8.78 with free shipping. That comes out to about 44 cents a blade. They are advertised as comfort coated.

They do not have the injector key, so I have carefully transferred about seven of them to the old Schick magazine. These should last me a good long time. I will give them a try in December since I am participating in the NOVember "No Variation" theme. I am looking forward to using my Schick M again.

 

I have thought of buying some of this or asking for it for Christmas. Does it have a nice pine/spruce scent? I'm quite partial to the spruce scents, as long as they don't smell resinous or of sulphur and tar. I really like the TSD shop Blue Spruce, but the scent just doesn't last long enough for me.

 

This perfume doesn't last long, too. You can feel the scent of it for hours, but you can't sense the scent a day later. I must say that, I'm not very good at describing scents, but imho it has a very nice pine scent that refreshes the room immediately. Although I can't tell the difference between pine/spruce scents as I haven't experienced any spruce scents, I didn't notice any resinous, sulphur or tar scents in the gold edition of Pino.
