I need to keep weaving these square-points into the rotation, just to keep me honest and paying attention….:D

Thanks. I bought this one from NoahPictures (Noah Mendozai). He puts on a wonderful JNAT edge.

I love the Castle Forbes as well and had just forgotten about it and my other creams. It made for a thick protective lather.

homemade badger, box elder burl and Ace 2 band knot.
Apologies to many here. I've had a run of bad luck. Camera broke, lathe broke, computer went down and I dislocated my index finger on my right hand. I have everything running again except my band saw and my finger is still in a hurt bag but getting better. I'll be in touch with everyone I need to in the next couple of days. Sorry for the inconvience this caused.

I used the revisor 6/8 again but this time I used it after a good long strop and to be honest, it was a different razor. The shave was perfect in reflection. Same razor, damn good strop.

In the interest of not being boring and posting the same picture of my revisor I have chosen to post a picture that represents how I feel after the shave. And that is best summed up by my cat when he was a kitten.

The Friodur is hard to beat when properly honed ( and they hone up easily)

This might sound pathetic but I have been straight razor shaving for about 120-130 shaves and I have finally reach a new record of 15 shaves without cutting myself. I can be clumsy, sometimes lack attention or even worse, get distracted whilst shaving. My routine involves listening to a Columbo or an old a suspense radio broadcast! I had managed 11 twice and now I have managed 15...

...oh, and to answer the topic, again with the Revisor 6/8 :)

I've been doing this for more than 3 years and haven't beat your record of 15 days without cuts. I think I was born with a distracted brain. I think you're doing great.

The only things I seem to believe I am doing differently these days is better skin stretching, less pressure with the blade and a slight twist turning actions in the difficult spots
