Two vintage razors showed up today. Redox rolling razor made in England. The roller cam oscillates the blade back and forth. Theo Razor marked on the box lid is the Only ID on this one. Will have to do some research on this simple OC.

I had a small Smörgåsbord of Swedish razors waiting for me when I came back How do you like these @Omelmad ? 1) The Strivel The Strivel is a stainless steel razor made in Sweden. It requires proprietary blades that fortunately are rather easy to get hold off and the seller also included 10 NOS blades still in plastic wrapped boxes. It has a 'quirk' to it that there is a stropping mechanism built into the razor...you pull out the extendable handle and then plunge it back and forth and the blade is 'stropped' inside the head. Here the handle has been extended...ready to strop... In the box with some NOS blades 2) Swing. A razor from one of my favorite Swedish DE makers. I believe this is a version of their travel razors - they had one with a two-parts metal handle and this one. The handle appears to be in hard plastic or some resin and the head cries out "please replate me...even though I'm probably just Zinc..." 3) Matador de Luxe I've wanted a Swedish Matador de Luxe for some time and this came around as part of this lot at a great price. (There was one Matador that sold earlier this week for 20-something dollars with the more desirable, patterned handle...someone scored on that one...).
The oscillator on my finely crafted British razor looks like something out of a Swiss watch. I was hoping I would have received it and sold it to you for a sizable profit prior to using your beastly roller knockoff.
Wow, it's interesting to see how different the mechanism is on your razor. Do you have any NOS blades that are useable and/or a way to mod modern ones? If you do....join me and @mrchick tomorrow in 'Team Oscillate'
Ive only got the rusty sample shown in the pic. Until i get the use of my right hand back, the dremel has to stay in the box. "Oscillating Tobacco Tuesday" does have a ring to it though.
That mechanism is quite different than ours. The blade actually looks easier to modify though. Nice score, I think
They look good especially the stainless steel one. If you want info about them, i really cant help you =P i have only seen 1 of them on tradera
Picked this up on my hunting today. On my way home, one of the ladies on my trapline offered up this bunch for $25.00
