I'm new to this forum, but I've been wet shaving for about 2 1/2 years now. I was a cartridge razor guy before that. I got good shaves with my Fusion and canned goo, my reason do converting was to save money, but that really hasn't worked out so far...lol. When I first started wet shaving, I bought a tons of stuff, then narrowed it down as I went. Right now, I have a set rotation of a '59 Fatboy, a Pre-War Tech, and a '55 Red Tip. For blades, I'm using Personna Lab Blues, Astra SPs, and Dorco 301s. As far as soap, I've found Arko to be my favorite. I then finish off my shave with some Nivea post shave balm, then a splash of Old Spice. Anyways, I'm glad I found this forum and I just wanted to say hi to everyone.

Welcome to TSD. A great place to hang out. Sounds like you are off and running with your product and process. I just purchased some Arko and will be giving it a whirl in the next few days. Had laugh at your comment about converting to wet shaving to save money . I think many of us started that way. And now...

Welcome to The Shave Den! You have a nice set up! In fact, you and I started wet shaving at about the same time. Now we're both smooth...and broke.
That's great! I forgot to mention that I use a Burma Shave brush! Yes, I have an Old Spice addiction! Old Spice, New Spice, Avon Spice, Vi-Jon Spice...I love them all! Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.
