If you are worried about the bowl warping, just apply Carnuba wax to the inside and outside before you put the puck in it. Parrafin wax might even be a better choice, but it has to be melted first. I use Howard's Feed 'n' Wax on my bowls, and it's kept them in perfect condition so far.
Excellent suggestion. I was thinking I might want to treat it, but wasn't sure what to use. I'll give the wax a shot.
This is not answering your question, but I use stainless steel bowls and containers exclusively. They are very easy to clean, and of course don't warp over time.
I got the bowl and have used it a few times. I followed Plan's suggestion and applied a coat of paraffin wax as a preventative. The bowl looks great, and the DRH pucks fit perfectly, like the bowl was made for them. So far, I actually prefer this to the DRH bowls - very classy looking.
