I had one and sold it since my EJ DE86 was getting more use at the time. The Ranger with a Feather is a stubble cutting machine. Clayton
Fantastic little shaver! I love mine, It has earned a spot in the "keeper" group. I think I'll give a run this weekend with a fresh Polsilver.
For those who are interested, the '47-'48 TTO (with the small "collar" on the neck) shaves just about the same as the '41 RT, which makes sense given factors of war production...Gillette picked up right where they left off, I guess. I really can't tell a difference between the two. Mentioning it since the post-war TTO comes up a bit more often and usually for less.
I had a nice shave today with my ranger tech. Proraso Red Satin Tip brush Polsilver SI Captains Choice Cat O Nine Tails. Nice little razor, it seems like a toy compared to the Goose. I'm keepin this one!
i can imagine.hope you still have some favorites.i have down sized by near half now and have more to go.keeping a select 2 dozen.or so.
While we're bumping a six year old thread I'm happy to reconfirm mine too since I used it today. Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk
I enjoyed mine so much I'll use it again tomorrow against another contender TBD. Sent from my Google Chromebook Pixel (2015) using Tapatalk
As for collecting only wise, not in counting what's in my use rotation, I kept all of my 1973 Gillette birth year razors, a 1918 low serial number (J 846) mint Gillette soft Property US Army Khaki Set, a fine condition 1910 old type set, a 1917 old type 00G Standard Combination Set in great shape with the little Gillette shave brush but missing one of the gold plated blade box, a NOS 1930s Gillette Palmolive Shaving Cream/Colgate's Rapid Shave Cream/Colgate's Handy Grip Stick THE NEW razor given out free when you purchased one of the Colgate Palmolive products mentioned, and a mint Schick Type B1 silver plated repeating injector razor including box, instructions pamphlet, leather storage sheath, tube of blades and full set of blades shipped inside the razor. Unfortunately, everything else had to go due to life wiping me out financially. Here's an idea of where I was at 11 years ago. Not even all of everything I had. This was just one shelf in my display cabinet.
I sold three and gave away one ....... enjoy my Brazilian Mono-Tech more. You can tar and feather me now.
