The first 2 pictures shows the aftershave not shaken. This picture shows how it looks when I shave it up. I dont know how it will look after I strain all the ingredients
So im straining my aftershave. Its dripping, literally drop by drop.. Hahahah I guess The one who waits for something good, never waits for too long
Kevin, how much of the EO's do you put into this mix? Also, how much of the pepper and ginger and allspice? Thank you very much.
Question - how is the dosage with those large necks, compared to a smaller AV bottle for instance? I'm Googling myself blind searching for glass bottles with internal dropper unit.
Man that looks good enough to drink. That is some fine looking bay rum. How long does the sent last when applied? I think I will have to give that a shot down the road. I love Bay Rums. To splash on not drink. I prefer Scotch
Thank you =) it's actually really really nice. I'm not entirely sure how long it lasts. I need to apply and try to be conscious about it. I will get back to you about it. I prefer bourbon =)
Ahh okay. I found an old 330 ml sauce bottle with dropper. I'll use that and then a patent Jar for storage of the rest. Does it matter what quality rum one uses? Also, I assume the black peppercorn are regular corns from the grinder in the kitchen?
To keep everything in solution it is best to not get below 60% alcohol. If you start with 151 proof Everclear, Vodka or Rum (max 75% allowed in California) you can add witch hazel and be ok. If you are not in Cali you might have access to 190 proof and can add more witch hazel and stay above 60% alcohol. Once you get to 151 proof it is difficult to differentiate Rum from Vodka or Everclear
To keep things from separating. If you use oils like rosemary oil or lavender or bay oil it keeps in dissolved. If the alcohol % drops the oils come out of solution and can float on top. Even if you use raw materials it is the oils that go into solution and flavor the mix.
Nevermind. Found the old posts explaining it's tellicherry peppercorn and that the quality of rum doesn't matter
