Your set with a bunch of goodies! +1 for the arko it's cheap but boy talk about boat loads of great lather and soft but pleasant smell to boot. Enjoy
that is what I have read here on the forum so I figured I should try it out and it is pretty cheap so if I decided that I don't like it its not to big of a deal
You made a great choice at it's price point it will be a mainstay for me and plenty of different scents to choose from.
Great first set you bought there. And with 100 blades to sample you'll be busy testing for quite a while
I definitely wanted to try different blades and I know with any disposable product there is the possibility of a poor performer so I figured a few of each brand would be able to give me the best test results and with getting a couple of soaps I figured it couldn't hurt
Inbound from Bullgoose Shaving: I am a BIG fan of SV products so know I will like this one. Phil states this one is slicker and aimed for straight razors so we will see. And I am a big fan of Taconic shave creams. One of the best bay rums I have tried, have only tried a sample of the Eucalyptus Mint which is not aimed for the super cold but a mild effect and more mint than Eucalyptus if I remember right and have read great things about the aftershave so thought I would give it a try. 2 x Saponificio Varesino Tundra Artica Shaving Soap (Beta 4.1) 1 x Saponificio Varesino Tundra Artica Aftershave (100ml) 1 x Taconic Bay Rum Shave Cream 1 x Taconic Unscented Soothing Aftershave Balm (Alcohol Free) 1x Taconic Eucalyptus Mint Shave Cream
Hm, sometimes you win an auction and you wonder 'why in the world didn't anyone else bid...and, why on earth did I?". Anywho...$25 later I am the questionably proud owner of this lot: Two of the three three straights are pretty much a write-off looking at the broken/chipped blades The rolls looks like its in decent condition The cased EverReady looks rather interesting though and in what seems to be good condition. No idea of model here though... Then there's the Opal and EverReady brushes hiding in the back. Could be good. The double-sided strop looks nice but there's a nick on it that makes it less attractive: The rusty clippers and whatnot will probably just be binned. So was it worth $25? Maybe. We'll see.
What it's for is hilarious but the advertisement is great it's got some historic value in that sense.
