The Haul: November 2015

I cant see how I missed it. Ive been scouring the Bay pretty hard lately. Oh well, one less competitor now.....unless of course he's collecting cased D's

 

I'm still in mourning over missing out on not one but TWO Wilkinson Sword Edge razors....sigh...... They went for around $190 and I was second-bidder-up.
Odds are pretty high I'll never see another one. Oh well......

New Jurgen Hempel titanium handle for my Mongoose. I really like the contrast between the boxy Mongoose and the "atomic" style of the handle. 49 grams, 92.5 mm long.

 

Man! That is a really sweet looking, amazing handle and on that razor? Wow!

 

My Schick M3 adjustable arrived today. A soak in scubby bubbles and it should be looking good.

 

The 2 band knot I ordered from TGN arrived yesterday and I got it glued into my vintage Simms handle today.

 

How's this for a find? An OS mug, AVON chess piece, and a slim....and...a NIB SLIM!!!



Don't worry, the NIB SLIM is staying in my collection AS IS. It will remain unopened in the cardboard bubble package on my display shelf.

Black Friday Antiquing results. A M2 Slim and a Nifty X3 Travel set with cologne still in the bottle. It also came with a mini brush and mini soap in the tubes. There was also one Gillette Blue Blade.

And why am I killing you? I didnt tell you the slim was super expensive at $6.36 with tax and the travel set was $20.00 tax included from different stores.

 

Go ahead and rub it in. I especially like the travel kit. Use it in good health.

 

My first ever hanging strop arrived last week. I tried it out last night. The blade really slides easy on the poly webbing. I installed a cup hook on the counter after watching Lynn Abrams do it. It works great.

 

An old Type style travel razor before and after cleaning. Worth every bit of the $4 I spent for it.
