just to let you all know, there is a rhodium plated F4 toggle for sale on the razor emporium site here: http://www.razoremporium.com/1960-gillette-f4-toggle-adjustable-de-safety-razor-rhodium-revamp-1/
But wait! There's more. For just Seven Dollars you can get a blade sampler pack! Can't see many New Shavers buying this unit. For that kind of money I'd want the original box and a couple hundred blades. And a kiss.
You think for $450 they could at least paint the little black band, under the adjuster. All kidding aside, Razor Emporium is doing some fine looking replates now.
There's a gold toggle that's never been used in the original box with blades instructions going for about 470.00 on ebay. boy would I love to buy that baby
sooooo, a toggle is my grail razor and that is a pretty looking razor.....and even with price aside and the fact that I prefer the look of silver over gold...to me a toggle HAS to be gold, it just makes it look so majestic.
Yep, a toggle is one of the Holy Grail razors, but not when it's done in a material it wasn't originally offered in. Plating the Toggle in Rhodium just isn't kosher. It's like Cerakoting a Gillette Bottom Dial, in purple.
