Whats your shopping quota for 2012? and will you stay within the quota & budget? i sorta had my list as Razors- A slant bar (always wanted to try one) and a Large straight 6/8+ (oh and a DARWIN razor) expensive i know, but they aint gonna get cheaper! Brush- NO plans Soaps/creams- Martin De Candre (oh and a TSD store order) Blades- Oh yes (prep for the shave apocalypse) anything else- No plans I really hope to stick to that as of today (I did think of this when i got up but have since bought a razor on ebay!!!0 so it starts now
I plan to buy nothing else except Tet-a-Tet Shave Cream, Tet-a-Tet Aftershave Balm, Tet-a-Tet Cologne (really really want to try this cologne!) and TSD Yin Yang Shave Cream. I'm trying to sell off all of my razor collection so I know I won't be buying any more razors to add to it. I'm set for blades with 1,000+- Voskhod and 100 Feather on hand. I'm set for brushes thanks to my own and the reknots Jeff did for me. Back to basics for me. Shaving and enjoying those shaves.
I have a bit of a list so far, though Im not sure how much of it I will get, or if I will stay in the budget Blades: There a whole bunch of Russian ones I would like to try (Rapira, Voskhod, Polsilver, Polsilver SI, Gillette Yellows, and so on) Brush: Maybe get a badger of some sort Razor: No plans, I only have 3, and only 2 of them are in regular rotation (Merkur 23c, Black Beauty) Soap/Cream: Tabac, MWF, Speick, Arko and a TSD soap are on the list so far. I think the biggest thing I want now is blades. I have tried quite a few, but I really liked the Super Iridiums, so I'll be trying more Russians in the future.....
I am not planning any major purchases for this next year. At most, I think will be a puck or two of soap and maybe some Superior 70 when I finish my current bottle.
As far as razors go I won't be buying one next year, but I hope to have Glen do a restoration job on my daily shaver. Soaps I want to try are VDH luxury and Col. Conk Almond. Creams I'm set for the year and possibly 2013 as well. I do want to get a bottle each of British Sterling After Shave and EDT.
I know i live in the UK but im tempted to buy a big straight as mentioned but also send to Glen to get it Pimped out
I'm not planning on buying much unless I run out of a soap and decide to replace it. If my budget would allow it, I would love to have a Dovo Bismarck.

You mean after I calm down my current blade acquisition mode? With the impending Shavepocalypse, one can never have too many 7 O'clock blacks, yellows, blues or Super Iridiums. Let's see: I will probably buy some more 7 O'clock blacks, just because they seem to be getting harder to find and I do love them so. Like fishcrow, I'm thinking of an EJ89. Maybe a nicer brush than the one I've been using. A new razor stand, for sure.
I've got a couple of brushes I'd like to get around re-knotting. Also have a wedge that I'd like to get out to Glen to customize. As for any other purchases, I'll be keeping an eye out at the flea markets and antique shops most definitely for what ever may come up. My 50th birthday is next year, also. Who knows?
I only have plans for 2 knots to reknot two vtg handles. As far as the the unplanned.....well, it's unplanned for a reason
That is my plan too. Possibly reordering an M-Bomb when mine runs out, + a TSD cologne or 2. Beyond that, I am set in every department and look forward to using up inventories and enjoying basics.
I will be trying M-Bomb my self this year and a few cologne, and as creams go I have about 9 tubes they will get reduced (esp with the Kent BK12). The slant is just something I have been wanting to try, and a Darwin is just if one comes up, I miss out on one 4 months ago on ebay(only just!!! soooo close) and as Steve said if something appears at flea market.
