Yep, that's what I was telling my friend. If I use can goo and I get razor burn. Not sure about the butt burn, but definitely I get razor burn. Love the animation!

My first impression of the name was a turn off.'ARKO?' It sounds like a middle america out on the plains, small town time forgot gasoline service station with attendants wearing WW2 officer caps and the logo something Don Draper would smirk at. I agree on the pink bathroom smell too. If you want 'Old school' MWF or PdP for starters.

I haven't tried either of those. The other end of the tallow soap price spectrum? Just recently got some Tabac and I'm liking the quality of the lather. It's not a quantum leap, but to me Arko sure beat out Marvy.

I have a Parker 80R. It's a TTO long handle HD. I like it. Has a small spot where the plating is starting to flake off, but it doesn't affect the shave.

Or we could all just use lard. :)
And hey, dont forget the attendant with the cap giving you that wink with a thumbs up. Aahhh, the good ole days. That and fuzzy dice hanging from the car mirrors. Sounds awesome to me. Back in the day, when everyone shaved with a Gillette or a Schick. Another mans hell is another mans paradise. Lol

PdP is a quad milled veggie soap that is quite good actually. It's not especially expensive to start with, and when you figure in how many millions of shave a guy could get out of it, it might be an all time cost per shave leader.

I have had a puck of it (the 63) for quite some time, and while I don't use it super often, I've barely worn the stamped emblem off the top.

Never tried Williams. Do you like it? I've heard mixed reviews on its effectiveness

I haven't purchased modern Williams. I do like the vintage version.

It is a great brush, very soft but has a little more backbone then the plisson type synthetics.
