I like it OK, it dries out rather quickly (but not as fast as Arko, in my experience). But wetting the brush a bit refreshes the lather. I really should expand my horizons in the soap department, though.
Almost all I use is Arko and while I don't find the smell offensive, I use it for the effectiveness not the smell..
Absolutely! I just bought a twelve pack box of Arko for .94 per stick. It doesn't get much better than that.
its funny how a lot of old school scents have turned into household cleaner scents.just another example of corps turning nice stuff into something mundane.these scents have been around way longer than urinal pucks etc.think gillette the next best thing, out with the old.
I have surprised myself because I really love Arko and just a little while back, I started a thread about it's smell. The way I got rid of that initial lemon 'toilet cleaner' smell was to open the packet completely and leave it out for a week - ten days. Now, when I use it, I get is a nice lemon smell when I shave and a lovely subtle lemon smell left on my skin afterwards. Arko is great.
Okay, I've done enough old school shaving, I'm back to my Merkur 34c and TOBS. I always seem to migrate back to those two.
