This razor was rescaled a few years ago. Being the goon that I am, I dropped it and cracked the scales. I have been looking for a candidate for a swordfish bill that was rescued. The swordfish bill was a broken sword with a lot of real estate to work with. The razor is a Southern & Richardson with a finger ring. Needed a unique razor for a unique material. A fairly straightforward job using a recycled lead wedge. Brought the scales down to a thickness of .070 inch and sanded up to 500 grit. Buffed out on a wheel using a white stick. Fairly easy to work with but smelled like burnt hair when splitting in half on a tabletop jigsaw
So unique!!! The finger ring is an amazing feature and I was surprised to see the transparency of the swordfish bill... that is a wonderful combination. Great work!
Thanks for the kind words. I thought the same when I saw the pictures. It is the light reflecting playing games off the polished surface
