I just got that one in today - a review on the performance of the soap will follow tomorrow. Words don't do this beauty justice, so I'm gonna let 'em pics speak for themselves :1respect :1respect :1respect
I don't know anything about the acca kappa...... It is a bowl I'd be pleased to have just by itself. How's the soap? Lovely razor and brush. Can you tell or id the brush and razor. are the scales replaced? Tom
@TOB9595: I'll try the soap tomorrow and will keep y'all updated on how it performs :: The Brush is a Kent BK4 and the razor is a Dovo Prima Klang with bocote scales
Additional info: This has to be the best looking bowl I've ever seen. But not only does it look nice, the texture and feel of the wood on your hands is beyond imagination. The bowls are hand-turned from one of the most expensive pieces of wood out there. The soap is made from mostly natural ingredients, no chemical preservatives are added and it smells of almond - not too faintly but not too strong either. If you're quick, you can get one of these bowls at gentlemans-shop.com for 40 British Pounds - that's 25 pounds off the regular price. But I guarantee you - this bowl is worth double the price they ask for it. ::
The links on the gentlemans-shop seem top be screwed up just now. They all revert back to theshaveden Tom
it works over here... Try it this way: http://www.gentlemans-shop.com/acatalog/AK_Wenge_Wood_Shaving_Soap_Bowl.html#a1351
As I said somwhere else, I oogled this soap wednesday and thought it was very expensive... more so than AOS... But I'm really looking forward to Klaus' review so I can go back an spend the dosh with confidence
Wow, That looks great Klaus! :drool :drool Look forward to hearing your thoughts on the performance of the soap
I gotta admit, that wood is simpl looks ultra classy; it looks like the kinda thing you want to keep alone by itself on a shelf, with no other soap tubs around it to take away from it. you can also find it at M.E. i believe...
