This will be a Pif where the prize or pri zes will be determened later but will include at least one two razors one DE one SE or injector if not more and one of my odd and vintage blade samplers . A few shaves in a box. I will determan what exatly it will be over the coming weeks. This pif will have 8 rounds and there for take 8 weeks to complete depending on if and how i decide to limit time restrictions That being said I dont have a large or particularly rare collection so this is just good old user grade fun. Acrophobia is a game for three or more players. Most implementations limit the number of players to 11 for reasons that will become apparent, but fundamentally it could be played by an unlimited number of players. The game is played in rounds, with scores added up from multiple rounds to determine a winner. A round proceeds as follows: 1. The moderator, proposes an acronym of 3 or more letters. The letters are typically randomly generated. 2. The players each submit an "acro" (that is, something for each letter in the acronym to stand for) they've created using those letters. By definition, each word of the player's submission must start with the successive letters of the acronym. There must be as many words as there are letters. For example, the acronym "SDEFN" could have the response "Shaving Does Entise Fantastic Newbs". EDIT: PM ME YOUR ACRO SUBMITIONS Categories, letters, and time restrictions will be posted this thread. Polls will be linked. 3. Once all Acros are submitted or time runs out. The Acros are then shown anonymously in a stand alone thread, with a single vote poll set up for each round. Players and all tsd members that choose vote for the Acro they like the best. Polls will be for 7 days(length may change each round) Players are not permitted to vote for their own acro (honer system). 4. Points Awarded for Votes: One point per vote. 5. Categories: rather than allowing any acro, players are encouraged to try to make their Acro fit into a certain category for the round. This typically makes playing several rounds less monotonous. However, there is no way to truly enforce players' adherence to the category except that players are encouraged not to vote for an Acro that didn't fit the category at all. Oftentimes, this type of popular enforcement is effective. 6. Tiebreakers: in the event of a tie at the end of the game, alternate methods have been used to determine a winner. Some revolve around using some characteristic from the game (such as the player with the longest winning acronym, but others utilize a face-off, in which the tied players are given three or four acronyms to write Acros for, which are then voted on by the other players. The player with the most votes over these Acros wins. I reserve the right to lay out the tie breaker rules at the time of such an event. Additional rules: Must be a member that joined before March 31st 2012 I will be running registraion from now until the first round starts, tuesday 22nd. Registration is now open registration. To register just let me know in this thread you are interested. Once the first acro round starts registration is closed. I want to include as many of you as I can so non north american partisipants will have to pay shipping if they win. Swearing is not allowed and will be an imidiate disqualification. I have never actually run one of these before so your all required to cut me a little slack. If you see any holes in the rules or need clarifications please let me know and I will address them entrants: macarous: 1 2 25 7 fishcrow: 2 3 34 tomnat: 5 6 810 10 SharpSpine: 0 0 PLANofMAN: 0 1 Cavere: 3 4 5 Sara-S: 0 2 5 11 5Savages: 3 10 1315 17 Gorgo: 0 3 Edit : updated prizes
I'll try my hand at it for fun but, I'm not interested in the pif portion, so if I win the second place person would get it.

Phil, don't count me in, as I have more goodies than I could ever need. But I have a question about the rules. Since you want the Acro's to be anonymous, should entrants PM you and then allow you to post their entries?
I have spent many i night playing both fourm based versions of this game, and also later the blizzard games version Yes the entrants will pm me with there acros then I will put them into a poll thread anonymouly and allow everyone else to vote on there fav .
Sign me up for this please. I've played this in the past and will look forward to it here, especially if the types of categories that will be involved are somewhat shave related!
Bugger I missed out on the April newbie PIF because I didn't know about them - and now I can't enter what looks like to be one of the most entertaining and fun ones to be part of because I signed up in April. Oh well, I'll wait for the next one.
Sorry its nothing personal guys , but it will be long and elaborate I have done this to insure all contestants will be here to the end. If this goes well I will run it again after this go so if your still hear you will make the cut next time. (if it goes real well I maybe able to round up some sponsers to bulk out the pif) Again Sorry
Su Agg if you would like to play anyways you can fallow willams warrior's lead and pass a win to 2nd place
