The funny thing about him hawking the Microtouch is that on one episode of the show a guy brings in a gold plated Gillette Pocket set allegedly owned by the Shah of Iran. Among the reasons he gives for not buying, is that nobody buys old razors... "can't sell 'em" or words to that effect are used. Oddly I have less issue of a cheap Chinese razor renamed and marked up a Microtouch as I do with a Muhle rebranded and marked up as Baxter.
I hate Pawn Stars. And Jersey Shore. And the Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and I'm sure there are others that I hate that I can't think of. But those are the Top 3.
The unknown history of vintage razors is one of the reasons they are collectible. Just think of the value of the razor that Mansion used to shave bus pits. Priceless!
