I had heard and read about this soap and the other day I was in Palo Alto and happened to come across a West Elm store (that I knew carried this brand) and decided to go in and get a bar. At $6 for a bar it seemed reasonable and it does say that it's also suitable for shaving. I got it home and this morning I used it as a facial soap. Loved the 'sea/salt smell' and my face felt really clean (then again..I used water and soap so I would assume that's what I'd feel) - the 'open sea' really lingered and I must admit I went back to just smell the soap a few times... Tomorrow I'll try lathering with the soap and if any interest I'll post my finding here. So far it's a great sea-smelling soap in a nice looking box for $6 It's also available online here: http://www.westelm.com/products/mrk-swedish-dream-sea-salt-soap-d695/
Hm I think it's all correct: "Svensk Drom" meaning "Swedish Dream" "Farskt fran Havet" meaning "Fresh from the Sea" Granted, I think they shoved some letters a bit left and right but hey..it's a tough language Soap still smells good..and I'm curious to see if I can build any lather at all with it tomorrow
Yes, you are right. The spelling is more or less correct. But it is laid (?) out in a way that says Fr esh fro mthe sea But I guess it is a common mistake. A quick image search shows that they have corrected the error
I tried shaving with it once. The soap did lather decently, but half way through my first pass the lather started disappearing. No big deal because it was a great shower soap.
I just picked up a puck of this soap today. I'll try to give it a run in the next couple days and post back here with my results also.
