It is a Soviet (Russian) made clone of the last version of the Schick DE which was made after the Krona.
A few manufacturers in the old eastern block made these. I now about polish, russian and I think there was a hungarian too. The polish ones were made by Astra if I remember correctly , my uncle had a gray one like it.
Mr. Shaverman, you got it. The red knob operates the doors. As for shaving with it, I've not done so, but the blade gap is very similar to my superspeed. If the doors stay closed on the blade I think it'll probably be a fairly mild shave. GD, and the rest who replied with info, much appreciated. It is very cheaply made, almost toy-like. But I will probably shave with it at some point. Can't help it. It's a razor.
They did not name this one other than the Schick name on the "end caps." I bought this NOS in the package. It was the successor to the Krona and is made very well. Provides good shaves.
