Hitting a new antique store and came across these. Anything worth buying? Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
$9 each. I wasn't familiar with either, as I have not delved deeply into the brush world. The white one is a Century made in USA. The other is a Chicago. The wood handle is fairly dried out but it has some mojo. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
I like the Chicago brush the best, it has very good potential. The Century would also be nice when done. Try for a two for deal, might get lucky.
I've been pondering and have some ideas. I'm gonna go back tomorrow and see what I can do. They also had a full bottle of vintage Shulton Old Spice I may try and talk them down on.
I would buy the Century for sure, Pure badger and made in the U.S. Everyone hear says buy them both so why not!
I finally found an antique shop in Mesa, AZ that said they sometimes have SR's and such. Now I can begin my search! Also, I agree with what others have said, it sounds like a good price for two nice brushes and for $9 each it can't be too bad to fall to peer pressure this once, right? Straight razors have been the most difficult for me. 90% of what I find is in such poor condition that it's just not worth it for a non-honer like me. Most have significant chips or rust on the blade. The one good one that I found at a good price is off getting honed now. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
