It was a sick feeling as I heard it clip the faucet. I did a post about it, with pics of the chunk, but my search-fu is weak tonight.
When I started SR shaving I got in the habit of wiping on a wet sponge that I place on the right hand side of my sink.
So when you wipe, do you try and avoid the edge, or just run the whole blade on the towel? Will a regular cotton towel hurt the edge at all?
I swish around in a sink full of water. I think barbers use to wipe because it was more convenient. They use to place a towel on your shoulder and wipe the just-scraped lather on the towel. It was probably easier than running over to a sink.
This is a great question. Ive watch a number of YouTube videos and have noticed the different techniques.
I wipe the length of the blade with tissue, then rinse with water and wipe again. Then I strop the edge on a dry towel.
