This may be blasphemy to some of the others here but in my opinion Barbasol works very well when lathered and applied with a brush. My favorite Barbasol variety is the Soothing Aloe.
If it works for you then go for it. I used it before I started wet shaving and don't see why it would not work. I like the Gillette foamy so I will try brushing that on also. Always wondered about the gel shave products. They seem slick enough... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
I have a can of Arctic Chill by Barbasol. Shoot a blob into my shave bowl and punch it down with a moistened brush helps to reduce the fluffiness. It's not bad, might even quality as acceptable! Can't beat the price and the aftershaves are good too. Many of my choices of products are inspired by others. I think you helped choose my next shave. Thanks Christian @LSUfanBR!
What works for you I use it to lather my barbers hone and sharpen my straights. It also works well to check for vacuum leaks on chemical processing equipment. Other than that, I have no use for it

Indeed. It's called molesting the Barbasol. Welcome to TSD! And.... Roll Tide, Roll! (in fun, lsu fans understand real football traditions)
And when LSU fans come to Syracuse to kick our butts they are very gracious about it. : ) They are great fans. And I work security.
I use an unglazed ceramic dish - a suribachi bowl. I soaked my boar brush in the bowl for a couple minutes in cool tap water. Dumped the water out of the bowl & shook the brush a couple times to reduce the water content. This leaves the textured bowl wet. A shot of cream from the shook up can into the bowl and began punching the cream down. Maybe 20-30 seconds of that, followed by at least three or four swipes of the brush under a trickling cool tap flow & back to the bowl. From the can the cream is fluffy. By the time I've tuned it it's thicker and wetter. Not a measured process, more do it until it looks right.
I am glad to hear that. Most SEC fan bases respect the game and treat the opponents with respect. It gets raucous, but normally all fun and celebration. Good on Syracuse for signing Lsu to play. It says SU is serious about competing and raising the profile of football at a hardwood powerhouse.
Lsu fans are a righteous tailgate crew. Put Saturday afternoons in Baton Rouge and Oxford MS on your bucket list. Best football atmospheres ever outside the stadium. Everyone should go one time.
I soaked my Old Spice mug in hot water for a few minutes, then my brush. Couple of shakes to get the excess water out & squirted some Mountain Blast into the mug, and did the punch-down thingie. A few drops of water, & lathered up. A "new" vintage Schick Plus Platinum in the Krona, and wowsers! Running a close second to my '41 Ranger Tech for Best in the World Shaver.
