   +1 for the HD. I'm completely new to this (only a month in), but the HD has great weight and balance, and very easy to maneuvre given its size.

   Ball End Tech is what I went for first. I know have Slim Adjustable on the way.
   
   Since you said Merkur then I would say the Merkur Classic since it is close to the aggressiveness of the tech.
