I think Crabtree & Evelyn and Trumpers sandalwood are both great scents! Hated DR Harris' sandalwood cologne or aftershave (can't remember which it was), but to each his own, right? :)

Has anyone tried Sandalwood Ten by Soap Smooth? The description on their site is very interesting.

Are we talking soap or after shave?

caswell massey aftershave.jpg Caswell Massey for me! It smells a lot like Prorasso Red, but a little stronger. I use the shave cream, aftershave balm and sandalwood spray cologne Caswell Massey makes. One of my absolute favorite scents. caswell massey sandalwood shave cream.jpg View attachment 105898 caswell massey sandalwood cologne.jpg

In terms of sandalwood scent the best is Meehan's for AS and Cyril Salter for shave cream.

I'm about to purchase WSP's Sandalwood for its description of being a "truer form" sandalwood(like your reaction to Harris).

Right now, my go to for Sandalwood (and it's pretty damn nice) is:
    Art of Shaving Sandalwood Soap
Fine Accouterments Santal Absolut after shave splash
Followed by a good amount of Taylor of Old Bond Street Luxury Sandalwood Cologne.

I didn't either until I got some WSP Formula T sandalwood. So far it is the only one I have liked. (I got it in exchange for another scent I bought but really did not like. The guarantee on their website is true.)

Have you tried the WSP Rustic? Would you give that one a close second?

According to my recent visit to a crabtree and evelyn store the sandalwood has been discontinued. I never got a chance to smell it...

You could try a WTB post to see if anyone has one to sell you. To me, the scent is intoxicating, but again, to each his own :)

The scent is the same. The only difference is the soap base, which is vegan so has no tallow. Both soap bases are equally good, in my opinion.

Here is a list some acronyms and abbreviations (although WSP is not on the list)...
