On the rare occasions that I'm in Philly, I have to eat at either one, then walk across the street and have a second at the other.
OK....THAT DOES IT !! I'm makin cheesesteak samwiches tomorrow night. Help me out here with my list: Thinly sliced RibEye Onions Cheez whiz French rolls (Ill try to find Hoagie Rolls but Cali folks aint too hip on 'em) Did I miss anything ?
Trader Joes (the store, not the resident shaveden studmuffin) sells packages of shaved beef that work quite well for homemade cheese steaks. I usually don't try to exactly duplicate the Philly legends. I like to add sauteed mushrooms and peppers, as well as the requisite onions, and I'll confess to using provolone.
Don't make Joe's head get any bigger than it is. :rofl Provolone is not bad but I perfer it on a "pizza steak" wit/out onions.
Wal-mart makes a decent rolls in their bakery for this type of sandwich and I think they have shaved steak too.
Yes, almost. I have been packing boxes since I got home. This is hard work. I might need to hire someone to pack boxes for me :rofl Rich, the box is all packed up and ready to go :: You should have it Friday, and when I say it....I'm not just talking about the brush Now, gotta go find that address in Germany to get that box ready I'm right here
